Sisters and Interviews

Two exciting things happened today. First, I found out that my sister has only 13 days before she is a west-coaster again. I am so excited to have her home! She is such an amazing young woman and friend that I will be happy to have her so close,even though she will still be about 5 hours way.

The second exciting announcement is that we scheduled our interviews today with our case worker for June 11. As part of the adoption process, Scott and I have to be interviewed individually; each interview will take about 2 hours! I have no idea what I will have to say for two hours, but I really don't know how Scott is going to fill a 2 hour interview. We are just praying for patience to just through all of the hoops that are set before us. We know in the end it will be worth it, but when you think about it, we haven't even started the hard part yet.

Entering the world of blogging

It has been a few years since I learned about blogs, and now I have finally created our own blog. Tuesday, we submitted out adoption paperwork. It has taken us almost a year to get to this point, but we are really excited about adopting a baby. As part of the process, they recommend starting a blog; it is a great way to keep our family and friends updated on our journey, but it is also a great way for prospective birth-mothers to get to know us. So here we are, with our own little blog. Our next step after they receive and process our paperwork is to have a homestudy done. We then should be on the adoptive parent profiles on www.itsaboutlove.org. We hope that if anyone knows a single mother considering adoption for her baby that you will direct them to our profile.
